GenderCOS Press Release – A Major Milestone!
We are proud to announce that, as of today, both Core Outcome Sets (COS) are officially published and available online!
The two COS, one for masculinizing and one for feminizing gender-affirming genital surgery, are published as separate, open-access articles in eClinicalMedicine (part of The Lancet Discovery Science). They are freely accessible to everyone, anywhere in the world.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants of the Delphi surveys and to everyone who supported us along the way. Your contributions were essential, and this achievement would not have been possible without you. A special shout-out goes to our incredible study steering team. We are grateful for your time, insights, and commitment. These past four years have been an amazing journey of collaboration, learning, and growth.
If you participated in all three rounds of the Delphi study and opted to be acknowledged, you’ll find your name in the acknowledgement section of the paper.
These publications are not the end of the project, however. While the COS defines what should be measured, our next phase, which is already underway, focuses on determining how and when these core outcomes should be measured. Stay tuned for updates on this next phase!
